With storms running across the country on the days before the Scottish Clubs final it was only to be expected that conditions would be difficult on match day.  On the day the 60 anglers in the twenty teams that qualified for the final had to contend with a strong westerly with frequent squally showers and gusts.  It brightened up through the afternoon and given the difficult conditions the anglers did well to net a total of 125 fish for 297lb 11.5oz quite a few of which were over 4lbs.  The final was fished to a two fish kill followed by catch and release will 2lb being awarded for each returned trout.

The top team was the Military Veterans FF "B" represented by JP Maestri (8 fish), Jock Royan (2 fish) and Graeme Sharp (7 fish) with a total of 17 trout for 36lb 7.9oz.  They received the first prize of £500 and each member of the team received a box of 120 flies provided by My Fishing Flies; vouchers from Snowbee for 50% discounts and gold medals.

In second place with 14 fish for 31lb 5.7oz were Glasgow Post Office AC "A" represented by Kenny McClymont (5 fish), John Simpson (4 fish) and Brian Kennedy (5 fish).  They received the second prize of £200 and each member of the team received vouchers from Snowbee for 40% discounts and their silver medals.  In third place with 11 fish for 26lb 7.8oz were Albacats "B" represented by James Kerr (2 fish), Greig Davie (7 fish) and Mark Fleming (2 fish).  They received the third prize of £100 and each member of the team received a voucher from Snowbee for 30% discounts.

The heaviest trout caught during the heats that was brought to the scales weighed 4lb 14oz and was caught by Colin Smith of Brechin AC in heat 8.

The presentation dinner was held at the Forth Inn, Aberfoyle and all the anglers that attended the dinner received a Glencairn Crystal whisky glass. A raffle and auctions held at the dinner plus donations raised over £670 which will go to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
